
The director and actress elizabeth banks is enthusiastic about hamburg. "I loved it there," banks told the german press agency after filming the movie "3 angels for charlie" in hamburg, in which she herself also starred.

"I put this on my wish list two years ago when we were scouting locations in europe for the film," banks enthused. "The building has waves on the roof and is so progressive in design. We are really lucky that we were able to bring it to life in the film."
In the film, which has just been released in german cinemas, the elbphilharmonie is not a concert hall, but the headquarters of an international technology company that is developing a dangerous weapon. But the three angels – played by kristen stewart, ella balinska and naomi scott in the new edition of the cult series – are soon on the trail of the villains and get into an action-packed chase in hamburg.
Banks and her crew felt at home in the city on the river elbe. "We came for the building," she said, "and then stayed because there are an incredible number of other exciting things to shoot in hamburg."3 angels for charlie" was filmed at the binnenalster, in the speicherstadt and the hafencity, among other places.
