The company adolf steinbach steinindustrie-schotterwerke had applied to the district office of rhon-grabfeld for permission under immission law to mine rock on the right-hand side of the kreisstrabe coming from salz and had already been granted permission to do so last year by the municipal council around mayor willi schmitt.
The district administration has now announced that this application by the steinbach company has been extended. This application now also includes a deeper quarry in the existing quarry on strahlunger land. The approved excavation level is 275 meters above sea level and has an average depth of 40 meters. A new application has been made for the site to be excavated to a depth of 235 meters above sea level, i.E. An additional 40 meters.
The area in question is designated in the main-rhon regional plan as a priority area for limestone quarrying. For the rate there was still need for discussion. In addition, in the opinion of the municipal council, further information should be obtained. For this reason, the decision on the application for a further 40 meters of demolition was postponed for the time being.
Green light was given to the application for an isolated exemption for the construction of a garden shed. The applicant carolin pretscher is allowed to erect this on her property at ahornweg 13. An exemption was approved for the location of the garden center outside the boundaries set out in the development plan.
